Ulyanovsk State University was founded as a branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1988 , the best university in the country, one

of the most authoritative universities in the world.


Currently, USU is one of the largest universities in the Volga region and a modern scientific and educational complex with

a well-developed infrastructure of scientific and innovative research and training of highly qualified personnel.


The University is rightly proud

of its staff capacity. Today, more than 900 lecturers work at USU, including 123 doctors of sciences and 461 candidates of sciences

Admission Process
  1. Filling the online application form of the university
  2. Attaching the necessary documents with the online application form
  3. Receive an admission letter from the university after a few days
  4. Passing entrance exam online
  5. Payment of registration fee to the university
  6. The applicant can apply for the student visa with the Russian embassy
  7. Visit the embassy/ consulate of the Russian FederIndia to apply for a student visa
Required documents:

  • A notarized copy of passport with a notarized translation into Russian (all pages)
  • Notarized copies of diplomas or certificates of education, annexes to them where the subjects studied and credits are indicated, with a notarized translation into Russian
  • Certificate of Equivalence
  • Certificate of English Knowledge (if possible)

Hostel and accommodation are not a problem in Russia. There are plenty of options like rental apartments, PGs, hostels, and dormitories. Students should try to get the university hostel for combines charges as outside the university there are separate charges and payments which leads to a lot of spending. Some universities have hostel facilities and some don’t but Ulyanovsk state university does have a well-established hostel system. It has furnished rooms with a capacity of 2-3. There are laundry rooms, common rooms, TV areas, libraries, attached washrooms and bathrooms, Gymnasium, Indian mess, High speed 24×7 internet service, dispensary and medical center, Power backup, and centralized heating system. All these facilities make the hostel just like home
