Overview
The University’s story officially began in 1943 when Moscow Medical Institute of the Ministry of Health of the RSFSR was established on the basis of the 3rd and 4th Moscow Medical Universities. In 1949 Ryazan widely celebrated a 100th anniversary of Academician I.P. Pavlov, Ryazan-born famous scientist and the first Russian Nobel Prize. To commemorate the fellow countryman, residents of the city addressed the country’s government with the initiative to found a medical university in Ryazan. The initiative was supported and in 1950 Moscow Medical Institute was moved from Moscow to Ryazan

The tuition fee for the academic year 2023/24 is the following:
General medicine-
320 000 rubles/per year
Dentistry - 365 000 rubles/
per year
Hostel fees:
17 000 rubles/per year
105 000 rubles/per year
(for newly renovated hostels with new furniture)
*The amounts of tuition fee and costs for accommodation are corrected annually in line with the inflation rate

- Send the required documents via e-mail
- For applicants with all the required documents that are filled in and collected correctly Univesity starts the procedure of sending electronic invitations (takes about 30 days) to come to the University for entrance examinations. Entrance examinations are: Chemistry, Biology
- Having received an invitation letter, an applicant must print it out and contact the Embassy of the Russian Federation to his/her country in order to apply for a student’s visa
- Three days before the flight to the Russian Federation an applicant should send a copy of a flight ticket. In this case University will be able to organize transfer from an airport to the university. This procedure is free of charge
- Having passed the entrance examinations successfully an applicant signs a contract for education, provides all the necessary documents and becomes a student of University
- Students admitted to University can be provided with a place at one of the buildings of University’s hostel (rooms for 2 or 3 people) for the entire period of their study
Required documents:
- A notarized copy of passport with a notarized translation into Russian (all pages)
- Notarized copies of diplomas or certificates of education, annexes to them where the subjects studied and credits are indicated, with a notarized translation into Russian
- Certificate of Equivalence
- Certificate of English Knowledge (if possible)

Accomodation
Ryazan State Medical University includes 56 departments, 16 academic buildings, base dental clinic, the central scientific research laboratory, consulting diagnostic polyclinic, vivarium, botanic garden with the experimental ground, sports and health camp, 4 comfortable hostels for foreign students, gyms, mini-football ground, 2 basketball courts, tennis court and other facilities. The University possesses a rich library with educational and scientific literature in foreign languages
