The University’s story officially began in 1943 when Moscow Medical Institute of the Ministry of Health of the RSFSR was established on the basis of the 3rd and 4th Moscow Medical Universities. In 1949 Ryazan widely celebrated a 100th anniversary of Academician I.P. Pavlov, Ryazan-born famous scientist and the first Russian Nobel Prize.
