Penza State University was established in July 1943 in the Penza city of Russia and is a university of high rank.
Faculty of Medicine of the Penza State University offers medical programs, including 6-Year MBBS Program. Of all the students presently studying at Penza State University, about 10% are international students belonging to over 45 nations.

To study at Penza State University you must fulfill certain requirements including previous academic background, Russian or English language skills, etc.
Undergraduate studies
PSU expects international students to possess a secondary school diploma and secondary school examination results that will enable them to attend university in their home country. Results on basic subjects in the certificate of secondary education are expected to be equal to no less than 80% of the maximum grade attainable. Candidates are also expected to have received good marks in other subjects
Graduate studies
Those graduates already holding a Bachelor's degree and applying for admission to Master's degree programmes must file their Bachelor's degree academic certificates
Postgraduate studies
Those candidates who possess a Master's Degree in Science/Arts or a Specialist Diploma can be admitted to the post-graduate course at Russian higher education institutions
Russian Certificate
One of the following documents may serve to certify that a candidate possesses sufficient Russian language ability for studies at the university:
1) Certificate of secondary education from a school where teaching is conducted in Russian.
2) Certificate of completing the preparatory faculty of the State System of pre-university training.
3) The Certificate of the State System of Russian testing for foreigners. Level 1 (Bachelor and Specialist Diploma Programmes) or Level 2 (Masters and Doctoral Programs)
If you do not speak Russian, but wish to study in Russian, you have to take a one-year pre-university training course at PSU. Pre-university training courses are not included in the general university curriculum

Accomodation
PSU offers comfortable on-campus accommodation in one of the student residence halls. Shared bedrooms with all basic necessities (comfortable furniture, bed linen, towels) are intended for 2-3 individuals. All the rooms meet health and safety criteria. All rooms are self-catering. Kitchens are equipped with cookers and microwave ovens. Cooking is fast and easy. Additionally, there are nice cafes and cafeteria on-campus and in the nearby area. They are priced moderately, but those that are on-campus are the cheapest. Vegetarians and people with special dietary needs can find food to meet their requirements as well. Cable TV and high-speed cable connection or Wi-Fi Internet are available. The buildings are within the 4G Internet coverage area.
If international students are living on university campus, we guarantee their safety at any time of the day. There is video surveillance and security service in the residence halls. Medical help is provided by the Clinical Medical Centre of the university. There are several pharmacies in the vicinity. There are excellent sport facilities on the campus and inside the residence halls. These include running tracks and sports playgrounds, swimming pool, tennis courts, and in-door gyms. The residence halls also house special recreation and study rooms for common use. All residence halls have easy access to the transport links. International students can easily reach any part of the city by bus or mini-bus. Grocery and household stores (including 24-hour shops), cafes, fast food chains, hairdressers, repair shops can be found not far from the residence halls. It is advisable to do shopping in big stores and supermarkets. Food shopping is good at the big market place in the city centre. Places for entertainment are numerous, including museums, cinema theatres, parks, galleries, swimming pools, and zoo. They are located nearby
