The National University of Science and Technology MISIS is one of the most dynamically developing centers of science and education in Russia.
The university was founded in 1918 as a faculty of the Moscow Mining Academy and in 1930 became an independent educational institution.

Research at NUST MISIS
At NUST MISIS, there are more than 40 world-class laboratories and engineering centers where leading Russian and international scientists work with the most breakthrough areas, implementing joint projects with partners — the largest research organizations and high-tech companies in the world.
At NUST MISIS, much attention is paid to the practical skills training of future specialists — students conduct research, prepare joint projects and have internships. University teachers use modern teaching methods such as interactive methods and business cases that develop the professional competencies of future specialists. In the laboratories, world-class scientists work and implement joint projects with the largest Russian and foreign high-tech companies.
From the first year, students can contact the Career Center at the university to get the most up-to-date information about vacancies and internships. For students, various career events and business case championships are regularly held. By the time of graduation, most students are well-versed in the field of their future profession.
Graduates of NUST MISIS, successful businessmen, take part in the become guest speakers of the project called “Technology of Success” where they share with students their personal experience of building a business and career development.

At NUST MISIS, the International Friendship Club was created. It helps foreign students adapt to life in Russia, make new friends, improve their language skills and successfully prepare for exams.

We offer 9 Master’s English-taught programmes in the field of science and technology, where you can acquire knowledge in Advanced Materials Science, Quantum Physics, Nanotechnologies, or Science Communication.
All international students are offered accommodation with all facilities for learning and comfortable leisure: free Internet, self-study rooms, gym, laundry rooms and canteens. And all dormitory buildings are max. 20 minutes away from the university.
