Overview

The program, developed at SPbU, allows foreigners to study Russian with any level of language proficiency – from A1 to C1. Following the traditions of teaching Russian as a foreign language and their combination with the modern communicative approach allows trainees to achieve better results when studying Russian.

The program has a modular structure and consists of 19 modules. Each module accounts for 4 weeks (80 academic hours of classes and 4 hours of intermediate testing). During classes, attention is paid to all the aspects of learning the language: Grammar, Listening, Reading, Conversation, and Composition.

Before the beginning of training, it is necessary to take the placement test to determine the level of Russian language proficiency. According to the test results, a trainee is placed in a group of a corresponding level. The foreigners who have not studied Russian before begin training with the module A1.1.

Classes are conducted 5 days a week. Training combines both traditional and interactive forms of training (role-plays, workshops, etc.). During classes, the study guides written by the professors of SPbU and other leading Russian universities are used.

It is one of the best programs to prepare for entering the main programs of SPbU.
